Wright off to a hot start for Mets

Coming off a year in which their pitching staff boasted the NL Rookie of the Year, the New York Mets have some expectations to make some noise for a Wild Card in 2015. If they are to do so, they will be leaning on their franchise player and team captain, 3B David Wright (Chesapeake). With Wright leading a pack of homegrown hitting talent, and veteran Bartolo Colon and reigning NL ROY Jacob DeGrom leading the pitching staff, the Mets think they can contend for a playoff spot this year.

Wright is certainly doing his part to get the Mets off to a fast start. In the opening days of the new season; in 4 games, he is batting .353 with 4 RBIs to help the Mets get off to a 2-2 start.
