Zim returns with a bang!

The Washington Nationals had already wrapped up the NL east title and were playing for best record in the NL, which would have meant home field advantage. But they added a key piece yesterday to make them whole, activating 3B/LF Ryan Zimmerman (Virginia Beach) from the DL after 2 months of being out with a hamstring injury.

Zimmerman started in LF last night, and delivered with 2 hits and an RBI, including a 7th inning triple, which I guess means that he is truly recovered from his hamstring injury.

The face of the franchise, Ryan Zimmerman is batting .288 with 37 RBIs this year, a year that includes 2 trips to the DL.
