Justin Upton catching fire!

The Washington Nationals may appear to be in the drivers seat for the NL East division title, but do not tell that to Braves OF Justin Upton (Chesapeake), who is doing everything he can to keep the Braves in the running for that title.

Last night in Cincinnati, after the Braves Mike Minor lost a no-hitter in the 8th inning and eventually allowed the Reds to tie the game and send it into overtime, Justin Upton’s 2-run homer, his 25th of the season, handed the Braves a 3-1, 12-inning win.

Upton is now on a 13-game hitting streak, durting which time he has gone 19-46 (.413), hit 5 homeruns and driven in 20 runs. He has driven in at least one run in 11 of these 13 games.
