Ramirez continues to shine for Cubs Pen

Since being called up from Triple-A Iowa, P Neil Ramirez (Virginia Beach) has been a godsend for the Cubs bullpen, and is starting to get more and more work. Last night against the White Sox, Ramirez came on in the 7th inning after a walk, and got 2 swinging strikeouts to kill any hope of an opposition rally. This came two days after Ramirez gave up a run for the first time and was tagged with a loss.

In 6 appearances totalling 4 2/3 innings, Ramirez has allowed 1 walk, struckout 9, and has a 1.93 ERA.

Ramirez was one of the three prospects acquired from the Rangers in the Matt Garza deal.
